Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The network name is changing from UW Medicine ACN to Embright. Embright is a clinically integrated network formed by UW Medicine, MultiCare Health System, and LifePoint Health that delivers you an enhanced healthcare experience at a better value. We do this as our commitment to coordinated care. When you get medical care in the Embright network all your services are coordinated across your doctors and specialists. This holistic approach eliminates waste, saves you valuable time and money, and helps to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
In 2022, Evergreen Health, Overlake Medical Center, and Island Hospital and Clinics are no longer included in the network. All other UW Accountable Care Network partners and providers will remain in the Embright network.
- There are several Embright network doctors and clinics that may be close to your home or work that you can choose from. Review the network highlights here. You can use the Find a Doctor search function to identify new in-network providers
- You can continue to use your current doctor(s) while remaining on your Boeing Preferred Partnership plan option, but will be subject to higher cost share.
- If you intend to continue to seek care with your current providers and would like them to be considered “in-network” to maintain the same cost share structure, please evaluate the Boeing “Standard” plan options, which include Traditional Medical Plan, Select Network Plan, and Advantage+ health plan.
If you would like further assistance with this process or have additional questions, please contact Embright at 888.402.4235.
A clinically integrated network (CIN) is a health network that uses proven protocols and measures to improve patient care and decrease costs through a provider coordinated approach. CINs are different from the status quo due to their data integration, population health management methods, performance measures, and connected member experience.
Preferred Partnership is an innovative approach to health care for each of Boeing’s medical plans – the Advantage+ health plan options, the Traditional Medical Plan, and the Select Network Plan. The Embright network is currently the only Boeing Preferred Partnership option in the Puget Sound region. This accountable care arrangement is aimed at providing employees with more personal support, more coordinated care, and an enhanced level of service – all at a more affordable cost. Our goal is work with you to help keep you and your family healthy and to ensure that you have easy access to the care that you need.
The Preferred Partnership option is available in the Puget Sound region to Boeing non-union employees, employees represented by the SPEEA union, the SPEEA Pilot/Instructors Unit (SPIU), employees represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers Power Plant (IUOE Local No. 302, District 286), IAFF (I-66) and covered dependents of these groups. Non union retirees and their dependents, as well as those formerly represented by the unions listed above, and formerly represented by Security Police Fire Professionals of America Locals 2 and 5, and their dependents are also eligible if not covered by Medicare. Those covered by Medicare are not eligible for the Preferred Partnership options.
The Embright network, Boeing’s Preferred Partnership option, features the region’s most comprehensive network of primary care physicians, specialists, urgent care facilities and hospitals located throughout the Puget Sound. Primary care providers are familiar with your health history and are the “first responders” to your healthcare needs. They are important in coordinating your care with other providers, procedures, and services. When you sign up for Embright, you will have many options for selecting a primary care provider who meets your health needs and is convenient to where you live or work. If you need help in selecting a primary care provider, our contact center can assist you.
